Job Title:         National Sales Representative

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Summary:  The National Sales Representative is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma & will have the responsibility for setting the future strategy for growth within the retail fixture sales division. This position offers the possibility of working remotely.  The sales rep is the primary person accountable for the retail store fixture sales profitable revenue growth. The growth strategy needs to be built on a sound understanding of regional and national markets and a prioritization of where Bearwood will achieve profitable growth. The sales rep leads the development of new customers and expansion of current accounts. He/she will assist senior leadership with establishing key new vendor relationships and new business development opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To meet and exceed financial targets in the retail fixture sales sector
  • Responsible and accountable for budgetary profit and loss
  • Progress on new business development plan and win/loss report monthly
  • Proactively assess the marketplace and develop business strategies through marketing opportunities & markets
  • Intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
  • Generating leads for possible sales
  • Following-up on sales activity
  • Evaluating the current business model and developing strategic sales strategies
  • Follow-up on sales and customer requests/issues until resolved in a timely manner
  • Provide timely and accurate management information on sales progress monthly and as required
  • Establish annual sales objectives including sales margins and monitor same on a monthly basis
  • Manage margins at the quote stage and utilize layout efficiencies to achieve sales and margin targets
  • Provide notification to all clients regarding new products and/or changes (create documents and follow-up calls)
  • Effectiveness of order checking and sign off process will be indicated by receivables problems and 100% complete the first-time report
  • Represent retail sales at corporate marketing and sales meetings and to participate in the development of corporate marketing and sales plans
  • Work with Management in preparation and updating of sales budget and forecasts
  • Analyzes variances between actuals and budget monthly
  • Develop pertinent information on the assigned market by keeping abreast of the latest economic indicators, changing trends, and activity among competitors
  • Monthly report on meetings and opportunities for increased business and partnering with our customers

  • Will attend association and trade show meetings and participate in their activities
  • Accomplish desired sales and service objectives, will visit major accounts at least once per month
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of quotations for prospective customers and the preparation and submission of sales orders ensuring said orders are accurate, complete and submitted on time by the sales and design team
  • Ensure that an order form is received for each customer order submitted to the factory

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in sales, marketing or business. 10 years of sales experience with varying degrees of responsibility within the retail store fixture industry is a must. 7 plus years of experience in retail store fixture sales and sound knowledge of the retail store fixture industry.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates and Licenses:  Valid Driver’s License
